Dubai’s heat and fine airborne dust take a toll on painted surfaces faster than in cooler climates. South and west-facing exterior walls fade and chalk sooner, while interior walls near kitchens and bathrooms pick up grease and humidity marks. We generally use established brands such as Jotun or National Paints, choosing washable emulsions for high-traffic rooms and moisture-resistant formulas for bathrooms and kitchens.
Many tenants repaint when they move into or out of a rental, and some tenancy contracts require the property to be returned in its original colour. Under Law No. 26 of 2007, general redecoration is usually treated as a tenant improvement rather than a landlord obligation, so check your contract before booking a repaint on a rented unit. In towers, moving paint and equipment through shared lifts or lobbies may need a quick check with building management.
The price depends mainly on wall area, the number of coats needed, and how much preparation the existing surface needs. A room with cracked or previously patched walls costs more to prepare than a freshly plastered one, and dark colours or feature walls sometimes need an extra coat for even coverage. We agree the price per room before starting, so there are no surprises once the job is under way.
